By designing a base unit that will allow IBM peripheral component use, DigiPoS will deliver the processing power necessary to run the most current POS applications without a full-scale replacement of their POS hardware. The end result is a migration strategy that will offer retailers all of the operational and service benefits of newly developed POS application technology immediately, and the ability to renew or replace peripheral devices when and if the need arises.
